Hello! My name is Allison, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I would first like to take a moment to acknowledge you for taking this first step as you begin your journey toward mental health recovery. It takes a great deal of courage and strength to reach out for support.
I have been working in mental health for over five years, and I truly believe being a therapist is a part of my lifes calling. Over the years, it has been tremendously rewarding to see positive change in the lives of my clients. My hope is that you are able to grow and heal, allowing you experience wholeness and a better quality of life.
During our first session, my goal is to hear from you and learn more about what brings you to start therapy. I ask general questions in order to learn more about you including questions about current symptoms. With information from our first session, my hope is to start formulating goals and plan for treatment.
I am very open minded, non-judgmental, empathic, and kind. I also believe that I have an ability to intuitively tailor my therapeutic approach to best meet my client's needs.
I believe in taking a collaborative approach to therapy and meeting my clients where they are at to start the healing and recovery process.
