About
Do you feel like life has been just one distressing experience after another? I work with people who experienced abuse in their childhood or early life and continued to have stressful lives as they moved into adulthood. Often, they feel confused and afraid of their experiences and feel overwhelmed by day-to-day life. They may wonder if they are 'crazy' or broken, and may feel they have lost hope that anything will change. My clients often want to learn ways to cope with their stress more effectively, and feel less alone and confused. They may wish to have better relationships, fewer flashbacks, or less lost time.
I specialize in treating trauma and dissociation, including dissociative identity disorder. I am trained in a number of evidence-based techniques to help you learn new ways to cope with stress and symptoms, and when you are ready, address the memories that are keeping you stuck in trauma.
Being a trauma survivor is hard. Flashbacks and anxiety, insomnia and depression, lost time and confusion, these all make it challenging to focus on your goals in life. I want you to feel safe and supported in your journey to wellness, while also challenging you to new skills and ways of living. I'm glad you are reaching out, and hope to hear from you soon!
