My ideal client is a person who is diagnosed with both a mental health and substance abuse issue, here we can explore whether the pattern of substance abuse relates to the mental health symptoms or if the symptoms of the psychiatric issue is one of the causes for increased substance abuse. Having the ability to explore and implement evidence based clinical interventions, as well as offering support, during their early recovery process, has been rewarding to witness. I have been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for 20+ years. I provide clinical supervision to undergraduates and graduate students who are
pursuing a career in Co-Occurring Disorders. I thoroughly enjoy providing supervision to established clinical providers as a Clinical Director. I am qualified and dedicated to the work I provide to my clients and colleagues. I have been fortunate throughout my career to have mentors guide me in reaching my professional development goals.
Additionally, I have been raised with family members who pursued careers in the clinical field. This exposure piqued my interest and passion for mental health early on.
