Hi, my name is Allison. I've been a therapist for thirty years working with individuals and teens who have experienced trauma. I specialize in Attachment and Complex Developmental Trauma . My clinical orientation in Attachment is specialized in complex family systems and relational (complex) trauma.
My training in attachment theory and the neurobiology of trauma helps address the deeper wounds that are embedded within the body, heart and mind. I believe the safety of the therapeutic relationship allows you to engage in meaningful exploration of the issues that are impacting your well-being.
I work with individuals who have been exposed to trauma, violence, neglect, abandonment and attachment disruptions. These experiences can create disabling behavioral patterns affecting the body, heart and mind. Complex trauma related to grief/loss, neglect, sexual abuse and abandonment can make individuals or parents feel overwhelmed, triggered or anxious.
Learning effective strategies to create a healing path for our own life and journey is always possible. We cannot shame ourselves into change, we can only love our selves into evolution. I am a clinical member of ATTACh, The Association for Training on Trauma and Attachment in Children.

Adoptive, Foster and Kin Parent Support Group
Our parent support group is currently be done via zoom. Becoming a parent to a child with a history of loss, neglect, trauma and/or disrupted attachments can be both challenging and rewarding.
