About
Are you concerned that your child is depressed, angry, or has trouble listening and following directions? If you are worried about your child and feel helpless or frustrated, counseling teaches both you and your child effective coping skills. I work with children and families to provide them with individual, family and group therapy. The children I work with have difficulty coping with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, family conflict, grief, poor relationships, behavioral difficulties, and mood irregularity. I provide an individualized holistic approach including parents, teachers, doctors and psychiatrists when necessary.
I provide a warm safe environment where children and families feel understood and supported. I love getting creative in my approach, enhancing children's lives. Remember everyone needs help at times. Therapy helps children gain insight, develop coping strategies, improve communication and better manage behaviors and relationships.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and want to help your child learn healthier ways to manage their stress and emotions, I believe I can provide the support your child needs! Please call 301-512-3524 or email me directly at allisoncohn@cohncounseling.com
