Hi, I’m Allison. I received my master's from the University of Northern Iowa’s trauma-informed program and have worked in the field as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I am especially passionate about working with these populations and others such as survivors of abuse, violence, family trauma, and experience with the child welfare system. I also enjoy working with couples and working through conflicts to meet your goals individually and together. Experiencing abuse, violence, and trauma can look and feel different for everyone, sometimes making it hard to trust others and open up.
I strive to create a welcoming and safe space for healing and growth to take place. I view the clients as the experts of their own lives and continuously provide support along their journey of therapy.
I find empathy, genuineness, and a collaborative relationship to be important in creating a space for healing to take place. I work with clients on developing coping strategies, skills, and techniques that foster growth.
