I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with 15 yrs working with women, children and families. I work with new mothers or pregnant women who are struggling with changes in mood and functioning due to their changing bodies and hormones. I also work with school age children, young adults and women. I have a background in child development and enjoy working with little ones and their families to increase attachment, decrease behavioral issues and promote healthy development. I welcome parents to work with me around parenting concerns, life transitions, relationship difficulties and identity. Individual or family sessions available.
I am trained in Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), PCIT (Parent Child Interactive Therapy), and other parenting methods to help my clients increase attachment, decrease behavioral issues, improve communication, and increase family harmony. I am also trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Play Therapy, and Sand Tray.
I use play therapy and art therapy to help children express feelings, develop coping skills, and increase problem solving skills. I usually focus on problem solving, communication, anger management skills, relationship skills and healthy feeling expression when working with young adults. I currently have immediate availability for day time appointments.
