Our mission at Behavior Unlimited (BU) is to provide the most quality services for children, families, and schools. Spreading the passion for helping others is what means most to us. BU focuses on teaching functional skills so each child can be their best self. Behavior means communication. At BU, we look at the function of the behavior and teach replacement behavior so that all children can be understood. The teaching is done both by working directly with children AND with families and schools. The end goal for every skill taught is independence. All of the teaching is done naturally all while focusing on functional skills.
Each plan that is developed and implemented uses the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Ensuring that each child applies all of the skills taught is our focus. Each goal will be worked on in the moment so that the child, family, and/or teacher is able to learn how to change the behavior as it is happening.
Realistic plans and strategies will be put in place with realistic expectations. We want all children to be included in all activities and we will strategically work towards making that happen. We work on both their strengths and enhancing their weaknesses. We put the fun in functional!
