I'm Allen Richards, I practice counseling within a psychiatric clinic with some excellent medical providers and counselors; Mental Health of Utah. There's little I can tell you that can't be found elsewhere on your own should you endeavor to look. Instead, the work of therapy is creating an interpersonal experience and process that will allow effective use of your own hindered and hidden capabilities. I'm proficient helping couples, families, and individuals ages 10+ with varying mental health needs and goals. I enjoy this work, which will be quickly evident to you!
Formal Therapy Skills: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Self Managed Recovery Training (SMART), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT). You might say regarding my clinical skills that I'm an "ace at some, bad at none." While I have many tools at my disposal, our partnership will be the foremost one!
