Growing up in a household where "mental health wasn't real", I understand the complex feelings that come with wanting to put yourself first but also being used to shrinking yourself to fit into others' expectations (especially family). If you've ever asked yourself, "who even am I?" or "what do I actually want?", I can help. Navigating struggles such as self-esteem, family conflict, boundary setting, or simply finally needing the support you constantly give to others is exhausting, and it's time to let go. I'm going to be real with you, therapy is hard work, but figuring out this living-on-a-flying-rock thing takes some extra help.
I am direct with my clients, which leads to real conversations that move things forward. I won’t sugarcoat what’s keeping you stuck, but will always be in your corner. Working on yourself is HARD because who wants to admit they actually can't do everything themselves? I also specialize in serving the BIPOC community, as I understand the struggle!
I am also deeply committed to providing affirming, inclusive care for everyone, including LGBTQ+ individuals, and to creating a space where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are.
