My name is Aliya Rocker and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I work with adults of all ages who are looking to work through life challenges and progress toward their goals. Whether clients are dealing with depression, anxiety, age-related concerns, chronic health conditions or just need a listening ear, I use a combination of person-centered, strengths-based and solution-focused approaches to help clients figure out their next steps and future goals.
My approach to working with clients is based on the belief that each client has strengths which can be used to achieve their goals. I approach therapy primarily from person-centered and strengths-based perspectives. Depending on the client and the situation, we will embark on a journey of Motivational Interviewing and/or Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
My communication goals are for clients to feel heard and valued. I work to create a space in which clients feel safe to share, to be vulnerable, and to be challenged toward growth.
