Do you feel like your mind is always running, even when you try to fall asleep? You might be feeling anxious, irritable, emotional, or unsettled throughout the day. Maybe you're feeling disconnected and less engaged at work, at school, at home, or in your relationships--simply 'going through the motions' and burnt out. You know that something needs to change, but you don't know where to start. In our counseling partnership, you can expect a supportive and caring space to talk about these vulnerable feelings while learning how to become more mindful, deepen your self-awareness, and prioritize simple self-care habits.

My counseling education, coupled with training in yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, allows me to devote equal attention to your past and present. I will help you gain important insight into how you arrived at this place of stress and anxiety, but will also equip you with practical strategies to begin finding relief in your daily life.

Call or email me today so we can schedule a free phone consultation. I believe the counseling relationship is of utmost importance, so I prioritize finding a time to connect, talk about your needs, and determine if our counseling partnership feels like a good 'fit,' before we schedule an initial appointment.

Alissa Vreeland's Groups

Mindful Mama Support Group

In this group, you will connect to yourself and other local mothers. This group is for any mom of young children who is looking for community, support, and a place to generate insight into tough topics such as mom-guilt, changing relationships, new identities, loneliness, anxiety, etc. As a trained psychotherapist, Alissa leads the group and allows moms to generate the direction of the conversation. We begin each week with breathing instruction so moms can take that practice home with them. We also talk about the importance of daily mindfulness and self-care. Group runs for 4 weeks at a time.
