My approach is to view problems or issues from a systemic perspective. That means I am curious about our key relationships past and present, the roles we play, the rules we follow, and where our identity and value systems come from. My passion is to make sense of the ways our internal experiences (relationship with self) and our external experiences (relationships with others) collide and inform one another. I strive to help people develop wholeness of self through unpacking anything that is keeping them stuck.
This work is powerful for couples and individuals dealing with high stress, high conflict, infidelity, parenting, infertility, loss and all the emotional symptoms that come from these experiences such as depression, anxiety and loss of self. My style as a counselor is relationship driven meaning that our rapport is my priority.
I strive to provide a safe space for healing and growth through modeling warmth and a realness that allows you feel known and heard. I am trained to take an integrative approach with clients, meaning I carefully combine the most relevant therapeutic techniques and theories to go as deeply as needed to create the type of change clients are yearning for.
