I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who feel stuck, depressed, anxious, overwhelmed and unsure of how they landed where they did. If you are feeling like things aren’t going as you thought they would or should, therapy can help you learn strategies to feel better, to reduce the despair and get in touch with your own wishes for your life. I specialize in providing evidenced based treatment to adolescents and adults. I was trained at Yale University and Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital’s intensive outpatient program in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
I received intensive training to provide adherent DBT for substance use disorders, DBT for adolescents, Prolonged Exposure in combination with DBT, and Written Exposure Therapy. I am also trained in the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University.
I am passionate about guiding people through the moments in life that result in self-destructive behaviors, substance use, suicidality, and impulsive decision making. My compassion allows me to empathize with the struggles people have and reframe feelings of inadequacy or helplessness, guilt or shame.
