If you are seeking deep personal change or going through a life transition, it may feel difficult to make choices. If you are experiencing conflict or suffering and know that something needs to change, psychotherapy will provide a structure where you can identify patterns that have previously led to unhappiness or frustration. I will help you develop new ways of understanding yourself and relating to others in your life. I am a warm, experienced and compassionate psychotherapist that will help guide you through this process of change so that you can be your most authentic self and live your life with increased comfort and meaning.

We will explore the patterns that developed in your earliest relationships and understand how these impact the way you see yourself and relate to others. We will identify behaviors that you want to change and develop strategies that support these changes. I have expertise in the challenges that can be present in families with class and cultural diversity.

As a psychotherapist, I will be fully present for you, bringing my warmth, humor, empathy and years of clinical wisdom into the healing environment. As we build a safe and comfortable relationship, I will help you understand the source of your pain while we work towards the goal of you having a greater capacity to enjoy life and cope with its challenges.

This group is to help parents during the stressful period of their child's college application process. It will provide both support and information about your role and how to best help your child. It will provide guidance about when to intervene, how to keep appropriate boundaries and when you need to provide assistance for your child. It's helpful to have a weekly structure to help address your concerns and anxiety so your child does not need to be burdened by this during their own time of academic stress and emotional challenge.

Women's Psychtherapy Group

This is a small group that meets weekly to explore the range of issues that are frequently themes in women's lives. These themes include: friendship,intimacy, caring for oneself while caring for others, creativity, parenting, partnership and living a full and vital life. The group milieu is used to explore and examine how you relate to others in the group and how to identify feelings that emerge in the here and now of the group experience.
