My population of clients consists of older adolescents and young adults between the ages of 7 and 26 who are experiencing or would like to process interpersonal trauma, familial challenges, chronic and/or acute medical conditions, identity challenges, anxiety, and grief and bereavement. My clients are motivated and engaged in their therapeutic journey in discovering their strengths, weaknesses, and aligning their personal values with their daily ways of living. I strive to utilize expressive and creative modalities of therapy in order to empower clients to explore their experiences in a new way.
I choose to focus on understanding my clients' lifestyles, values, and social interests through the lens of their past experiences and family dynamics in order to encourage positive behavior changes to overcome perceived barriers, foster a sense of empowerment, belonging and purpose, and ultimately, build autonomy within themselves.
I admire each of my clients' courage to embrace and understand their own mental health; I am confident that each client I meet already has the strength to overcome their struggles within them. As a professional, I simply serve as a gateway and helping hand to reach their goals along their self-help journey; my clients are always the experts in the room.
