As a Creative Arts Therapist I work toward fostering an atmosphere of relaxation, while inspiring communication through creativity. I work within numerous settings and populations including Monmouth Medical Center's In-patient Behavioral Health Hospital, servicing children and adults, MMC's Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder Outreach Program, Bristol Myers-Squibb Children's Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson, New Brunswick, and The PALS program at the YWCA Union County servicing victims of domestic violence. Working within these populations affords me the opportunity to engage with the patient as well as the whole family to allow for a comprehensive therapeutic approach.
I am a client-centered clinician who approaches individual needs uniquely. Integrating the creative mind and traditional psychoanalysis to establish and solidify your identity, ground and focus your thought process, and learn new and exciting ways to integrate yourself into your identity. I encourage my clients to become active partners in lieu of passive clients.
I hold a Master's of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt Institute, I attained my ATR-BC (Board Certified Registered Art Therapist) from the ATCB, and I am licensed in the state of NJ. I am a Certified Family Trauma Professional, and I hold certification hours in Postpartum, Sand Play, Domestic Violence, and Trauma.
