A wonderful image of where good therapy can lead is of a knitter transforming a pile of chaotic threads and snarled knots into something beautiful, intentional, and nurturing. The internal elements that create your experience of life can truly learn new stories to live in and be safely released from stories of fear, shame, and contraction. As your therapist, I will help you hold your commitment and courage by guiding your relationship with yourself at a pace that is sustainable yet brave, using tools that will help you lovingly meet and free your lifeforce from old survival strategies and step into a much more creative existence.
There aren't a lot of places you have been or can go that I can't follow. For some clients there will need to be a big spiritual holding to what you are working on - for another we will need to work more systematically. I can do both with creativity, warmth and curiosity.
With decades of training in Jungian/Depth psychotherapy and a strong understanding of what a human requires in order to be connected to their own wellness, I bring a big container to do our work in. My primary tools, beyond our own relationship, is extensive training in Internal Family Systems therapy (Level 2 and then some), somatic techniques and EMDR.
