As a licensed clinical social worker who has been in practice for over 22 years, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients dealing with a variety of issues. Some of my particular interests and expertise include: adolescents and college age students as well as providing parenting support to parents with children of all ages. I also work with adults and couples dealing with issues such as: depression, anxiety, life transitions, career changes, communication issues, and parenting concerns.
I feel that the relationship between a therapist and client is one of the most important indicators of the success of therapy. I strive to provide an emphatic, warm, non judgmental and collaborative space for my clients; while also being directive. I would describe my therapy style as eclectic. I draw from a variety of therapeutic styles.
Some of my trainings include: Certified PEERS provider, level two reflective parenting provider, and I hold a certificate in child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the New Center for Psychoanalysis. In addition, I am also providing EMDR therapy which is an effective trauma informed therapy for individuals looking to make lasting changes.
