I support individuals in their desire to heal and improve their quality of life. Sessions are focused on the development of concrete skills to manage emotions and thought patterns which influence our behaviors in conjunction with EMDR. Clients have described me as straightforward and "no nonsense". I create an active healing environment, more than just talk therapy. The goal is always to achieve the ability to function without therapy in the most effective and short term manner.
CBT promotes skills adjust thinking patterns and DBT improves interpersonal effectiveness. EMDR is a short term tool for trauma and more. Neurofeedback is a great stand alone tool for those who struggle with talk therapy and want to focus on physical regulation. It is also a successful adjunct to improve the ability to engage in CBT and EMDR.
