My style as a therapist is warm, direct and curious. I have 6 years of post graduate specialized training in Gestalt Therapy, a form of psychotherapy that is centered on increasing a person's awareness, freedom, and self-direction. Through my post graduate study, I also gained exposure to systems theory which has informed my therapeutic approach. I also have training in Internal Family Systems (Level 1) and 9 years of clinical experience. I work with couples, families and individuals both in person in Hayes Valley, San Francisco and through tele-health sessions.
I help couples communicate more authentically and effectively, building deep safety and trust in each other. Through practicing empathy, deep listening and personal boundary work, couples grow stronger and are able to both tolerate difference and experience intimacy.
I also work with children ages 4-18 with conjunct family therapy sessions. My orientation is from an attachment and family systems perspective, where addressing stressors or strengths in the family dynamic is an important part of working together. I work with single parents, lgbtq+ families and blended families and a wide range of symptoms in children.
