Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
I believe in treating emotional pain as a signal that old attitudes, beliefs and behaviors are no longer working. In psychotherapy we can explore these beliefs together and decide whether they still serve you. To do this I believe in creating an atmosphere where emotional exploration is encouraged, and the isolation, depression, and anxiety that false beliefs engender, is reduced.
I work with individuals (young adult to elderly) with relationship, addiction, work, and family issues. I see couples, parents, and mother's or families struggling in the post-partum period. Looking at these issues with safety and respect, we can model healthier connections in the rest of your life.
A wide variety of influences (analytic studies, marital and family training, gender studies) and interests (attachment, unresolved grief, change of life issues, addictions, post-partum and parenting issues) inform my work. Reimbursement claims can be filed for those with out of network benefits.
