I believe that everyone is in the process of change. We have worked to become whe are now, and we will continue to grow into ourselves. That is why I do not judge people, but instead help clients to accept and appreciate their struggles as a foundation for healing. Very little shocks or surprises me, so I am particularly well-suited to issues of sexuality and personal expression and associated issues of shame and fear. I also have an affinity for those with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, grief, and couples' issues. My primary method is Cognitive-Behavioral talk therapy.
Together we create change though understanding feelings and motivations, developing goals and appropriate actions. We may examine family trees to uncover learned behaviors and dynamics, use creative expression and/or spiritual themes. We will increase your strengths and focus on your life's positives as a philosophy for productive living.
I also am a Unitarian Universalist minister. I served Provincetown from 1999-2011, and I bring a broad perspective to my therapy practice. You can choose to see me online or in my Chatham office. I am flexible in scheduling, and I invite you to contact me to see whether we would work well together.
