I help people with difficult family dynamics understand how those dynamics may impact their parenting, specifically between women and their own moms. I also help women affected by domestic violence, people with complex trauma and people needing help navigating complex family relationships. I enjoy helping women in tech process thoughts and feelings related to differential power dynamics. Counseling can be helpful as families may find themselves in need of support, resources and a safe place to share thoughts and feelings. Having previously worked as a child and family counselor I am able to offer unique insights into parenting.
I have worked in a variety of settings from hospitals to crisis counseling to outpatient community mental health. I have extensive training and experience working with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders as well extensive experience and training in working with domestic violence. I also have undergone extensive training in trauma informed counseling.
I engage clients with warmth, empathy and genuine interest. I believe we’re a team, and when you feel safe, heard and understood change can happen. I currently only practice via Telehealth and more quickly reply to inquiries via email.
