Alison is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands the uncertainty and vulnerability that can come with transitioning back into daily life after an inpatient stay. With a grounding approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and family or couples counseling when appropriate, she helps clients build coping strategies, strengthen support systems, and regain a sense of safety and control. Her focus is always on creating a nonjudgmental, collaborative environment where clients feel heard and valued.
Beyond this focus, Alison also works with individuals and families facing grief, PTSD and trauma, and complex life transitions, offering both structure and encouragement during difficult times.
s. She serves diverse populations, including individuals in adoption or foster care, those on the autism spectrum, people with developmental disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and military members, veterans, and first responders.
