About
We all have points in our lives when outside support helps us move through difficult times, grief, stuckness, and transitions. I will commit to your healing and help you understand your family history and relationships better. Together we connect with your core self and strengths to support the life you really want to live. I am a white, cis-gender queer therapist. I believe our identities and social locations matter in the therapy relationship (race, class, ability, culture, etc.) and in your healing. I believe we all need to heal from white supremacy and support this in our work.
Using gestalt therapy and the "Self as Therapist", I work with clients around depression, anxiety, gender identity, abuse/trauma, grief, and relationship issues. My work is informed by mind/body awareness as a way of healing. I also explore experiences of marginalization (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) and how racism impacts our healing.
I work with adults and offer individual and couples counseling. I have an interest in working with LGB/queer/trans communities and many years of experience with gender identity/transitioning journeys. I enjoy working cross-culturally. I also use our relationship and physical awareness as tools for healing and to gain a deeper sense of you.
