For over 20 plus years, I have enjoyed working with teens and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship conflict and body image. I recognize it can feel overwhelming to reach out and find a therapist ‘who is a good fit.’ I am happy to provide a complimentary consultation as it is super important to feel enough of a connection to begin the process. I am a very supportive and empathetic therapist. I want to help you learn how to be kind to yourself and validate yourself. I was trained at the University of Michigan and have over ten years on staff at Lurie Children’s outpatient psychiatry.
I am trained in a very effective type of treatment for anxiety and depression called Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT). One of my approaches is to help clients see things in a different perspective by challenging unproductive thinking patterns.
I know that it can be very difficult to seek out help and I work very hard to create a secure, nonjudgmental and confidential environment. Please take the first step and reach out. It can certainly feel overwhelming to manage every life stressor on your own. Let me listen and provide you with a safe place for you to have a voice and be seen.
