Therapy is both a partnership and process which can empower clients to experience such changes as healing of past hurts/abuse/trauma, increased self-management of emotions and stressors, healthier relationships, behavior and thought process changes, and individual growth.
I have special interest in working in the areas of: Trauma, Past Abuse/Hurts, Anxiety and Stress, Women's Issues, Relationships, Grief, and Transitions. I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, and I am EMDR Certified, an EMDR Consultant, & EMDR Trainer. EMDR has been shown particularly effective in treating PTSD and trauma.
I enjoy working with clients of ALL faiths and seek to meet people wherever they are in their spiritual life.
For clients seeking a Christian perspective, I can offer an integration of Biblical principles within the clinical and therapeutic process, working collaboratively with the client's pace and preference.
