As a Black woman living in the United States, I wear multiple hats like many others. I grew up in a religiously conservative household and spent some of my childhood on a compound. I’ve wrestled with reconciling spirituality with the religious ideals I was taught. My background is in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Psychology and I have over ten years of experience as a therapist. My journey has been one of learning how to manage stress, intentional personal growth and radical self acceptance. It is this knowledge and experience that I bring into my practice and in my work with clients.

I believe that therapy can be life changing. While it’s not a cure all, a magic wand, or a quick fix, it’s a way to deal with and process the stresses of daily life. I don’t have an agenda and I will meet you where you are.

We will talk about what’s on your heart and mind and identify your goals. My goal is to support you and to help you find ways to take care of yourself and to improve your emotional well-being.
