You look in the mirror and see the "bad" traits. That you're not thin enough, not righteous enough, not "good" enough. You realize that these traits were projected there by someone else--a partner, or maybe even a parent. You want to recover from perhaps a lifetime of emotional pain and narcissistic abuse but you don't know where to begin...I specialize in treating adult children of narcissists, cult abuse/religious trauma survivors, and those struggling with disordered eating and body image issues. I can support you in developing your inner strengths so that when you look in the mirror it will be your true self staring back at you.
I offer treatment for additional concerns including: codependency/family conflict, anxiety, and complex trauma. I have experience conducting therapy in various settings working with teens and adults. I am a certified Gestalt and IFS therapist, and am also certified in Dr. McBride's five-step recovery model for treating adult children of narcissistic parents.
I love being a therapist and envision the therapeutic relationship to be a place of authenticity, spontaneity, and of course, healing. I enjoy working with individuals who are engaged, energetic, and willing to take risks in service of self-exploration. When you are ready, I am happy to speak with you to see if we will be a good fit. www.alisastamps.com

Shattering the Mirror

Shattering the Mirror is a support and recovery group for adult children of narcissists. Utilizing resources such as the five-step recovery model popularized by Dr. McBride (author of "Will I Ever Be Good Enough"), we will begin to process all of the phases that come with having a narcissistic parent so that we may emerge on the other side with the tools we need to move forward.
