About
Have you had sleep disturbances due to nightmares? Do you have memories of a terrible event in your life that you can’t seem to get rid of no matter what you try? Do you have anxiety, addiction, and depression? Trauma can leave you struggling with upsetting emotions, memories, and anxiety that won't go away. It can leave you feeling numb, disconnected, and unable to trust other people. It can also cause your brain to remain in a state of hypervigilance, suppressing your impulse control, and trapping you in a state of strong emotional reactivity.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. I create a safe space for your experiences to truly be heard without judgment or shame. You will learn to understand your trauma and its impact, restore your sense of safety, develop your new normal, learn and develop healthier coping skills, rebuild your sense of self, and decrease traumatic stress symptoms.
As someone who has a history of complex trauma and addiction, I have a clear understanding of the struggles one often faces during this journey and how effective a holistic and action-oriented approach can be. If you refuse to believe that you’re powerless against addiction, the non-12-step approach might be a great fit for you. I offer outdoor walk therapy.
