My name is Alicia Stipes and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults who have been impacted by trauma. I believe it is important for clients to have a safe and supportive environment to process their traumatic experiences. I have experience working with clients who have been in the healthcare field or emergency services field as I have been a first responder myself for many years which makes my practice unique. I have a passion for working with first responders, healthcare workers, and their families.
I work with individuals of all ages who have experienced some form of trauma that may be exhibiting symptoms in the form of anxiety, depression, PTSD, or substance abuse. I have experience working with individuals with co-occurring diagnoses.
I understand that there is a high need for mental health services in the area. There are many individuals who need to be working with a therapist but feel there are different roadblocks preventing them from seeking services. I make it a point to try to help clients overcome those roadblocks to receive therapy services!
