My name is Alicia Soto and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I specialize in working with children, families, and adults who struggle with managing anxiety, depression, symptoms of ADHD, stress, addiction, and trauma. I help you by utilizing an eclectic model of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused and play therapy. As a graduate of UCLA (B.A.) and then USC (MS), I've worked with underrepresented minorities and been a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community for most of my adult life.
In our first few sessions, you can expect us to brainstorm skills and activities that can help you feel better and begin changing negative thinking that may contribute to your feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, and pessimistic feelings about your life and the world in general.
My experience with trauma, career and educational changes, as well as moving great distances has enabled me to better understand my clients. I'd be happy to talk with you in a quick consultation to help you decide if we may be a good fit.
