We want to feel confident, happy & clear headed as we go through life. And no one feels that way all the time. Challenges arise: work & school, relationships, big decisions, grief/loss, parenting, life changes, difficult or traumatic experiences. We do our best & sometimes need more. Reaching out for help is a gift to yourself when you're exhausted, confused, stuck, frustrated and/or overwhelmed. I build safe & supportive relationships with clients so they can find a way forward through struggles and go on to live a happier and more fulfilled life.
I provide compassionate & strengths based care so clients have space to explore their needs, find ways to be kind towards themselves & feel better as they navigate challenges. Training/Experience: anxiety, trauma informed care, grief/loss, neurodiversity, parenting, mindfulness, spirituality, play/sandtray therapy & working with BIPOC & LGBTQ+ people.
I’ve been a school counselor for 20 yrs. I also have experience with young adults & lived in Kenya for 1 year. Living in the southeastern US, California & abroad has instilled in me the importance of cultural humility, reflecting on my biases & working with people from different backgrounds.
