My name is Alicia Godels-Blackshere. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), working with clients in the state of West Virginia by way of Telehealth. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder, grief, anger, stress, oppositional defiance disorder, anxiety, and depression. I work with a variety of approaches, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I will only be offering Telehealth sessions. I prefer to work with adolescents and adults. My hours of operation will accommodate clients who are students or those who work full-time jobs. By offering services after hours, my objective is to see my clients get well, without disrupting their functioning.
You can expect me to ask you to tell me what it is like for you to live with your symptoms. We will discuss the various ways these symptoms have disrupted your life. Also, we will determine what your expectations are for our work together.
