I enjoy working with clients that are motivated for change. We address the need for action behind the intention for change. I have 26 years of experience in counseling adults and teenagers challenged with depression, anxiety, grief and loss. I am trained in Trauma therapy with a Certification in EMDR therapy. I work with individuals that struggle with past experiences that shape negative beliefs about themselves and through EMDR therapy they can shift to a positive belief about themselves to have a better quality of life.
I work with adults and adolescent clients to gain cognitive, emotional and behavioral skills to increase their quality of life. I utilize the strengths perspective to elicit change. I enjoy helping these young adults sharpen their life skills in order to successfully navigate through their family, school, and life conflicts.
I believe in a Strengths based perspective to guide and empower individuals to make healthy decisions within relationships. I am a solution focused therapist and will outline goals of counseling and encourage proactive steps towards stated goals.
