About
I value and respect the skill used to seek support, healing, and personal growth through therapy. It is my hope and belief that this shows in the relationships I build with clients. In my work, I partner with individuals to discover and reinforce their unique strengths while helping them uncover their potential for living fulfilling lives. I specialize in treating people with anxiety, depression, or repeated unhelpful behaviors. I also help people work through past trauma and difficult memories.
I use a variety of mindfulness-based interventions with clients to increase awareness and observe what behaviors, circumstances, emotional responses in one's daily living are useful and what areas would benefit from healing or change. Once we discover what is needed, together we begin working in that direction.
I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in much of my work. DBT helps us learn effective responses to difficult circumstances and emotions. It is an effective treatment for anxiety, depression, and managing anger. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) a treatment for trauma or painful memories.
