My name is Alice Kim, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Orange County, California working with clients statewide via telehealth. I have over 20 years of experience serving the mental and behavioral health communities and am passionate about helping others. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and individuals of any age who have challenges dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I enjoy connecting with people on a one-to-one basis, working with my clients to navigate through various daily hurdles, and helping to develop a more positive outlook on life as a whole.
My approach to therapy varies based on the strengths and needs of the client. I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, as these modalities tend to assist me and the client in finding common ground and developing shared treatment goals most efficiently.
I engage with my clients openly and honestly, practice active and reflective listening, and demonstrate unconditional positive regard toward all those who entrust me with sharing their personal stories. I make a sincere effort to create a safe environment, one in which the client and I may work toward achieving therapeutic goals together.
