My name is Alice Barton, LPC. I specialize in 2 main areas: couple counseling and individuals struggling with with trauma including anxiety, depression, nightmares, etc. Using CBT/DBT and EMDR as well as inner child work, I help by customizing my techniques to meet your specific needs. In our first few sessions, you can expect to complete a biopsychosocial assessment, and we will identify and select which method is right for you. My practice is unique because I am an experienced therapist of 16 years and have worked with thousands of clients. I am passionate about my work as it gives me great personal satisfaction.

In your first session, we will complete a biopsychosocial assessment to determine which direction to go in your treatment where we will decide the most appropriate ways to help you progress. For example, CBT looks more at thoughts and beliefs and EMDR will desensitize and reprocess disturbing memories.
