My approach to counseling is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and a genuine desire to connect with you. Starting counseling takes courage, and my hope is that when we’re together, you feel supported and understood.
Our sessions might incorporate elements of mindfulness including breath and meditation exercises, making art with a sense of curiosity about whatever comes out on the page, and building on strengths and resources you already have.
For families, I offer Theraplay as an evidence based approach focusing on the parent–child relationship as the foundation for building connection, while also helping with behavioral challenges and big emotions.
I use art therapy with older clients, often weaving in polyvagal-informed practices to support awareness of the body and nervous system.
Even though our life experiences may be different, my goal is that you never feel I’m “above” you as an expert. Instead, I show up as someone who likely knows some of the same emotions you carry and can walk alongside you as you move through them. Art can hold any amount of pain, joy, love, and complexity.

The Birth You Didn't Expect
Whether you are a new or experienced parent, birth leaves a lasting impact, regardless of how “fine” the baby is afterward. When your birth doesn’t go as planned, you can experience feelings of helplessness, terror, and intense fear for your own life or the life of your baby. In this workshop, you will set a new course for healing your birth experience in a safe and validating space. Using art therapy, you will begin the process of putting the pieces back together with support and empathy from the members of the group.
