My clients come from diverse backgrounds but all have one thing in common: they are bound by past traumas that continue to control their present day. My primary theoretical approach is one of interpersonal and holistic psychology that draws from acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic, existential, feminist, and multicultural counseling work. I use meditative practice and applied mindfulness as well as a holistic trauma model to allow my clients to find peace within themselves while also equipping them with the skills needed to continue their personal growth after therapy is complete.
The work we do will pair a radical acceptance of Self and the predicament we find ourselves in with an active commitment towards increased self-awareness. My approach relies less on diagnostics and problem-solving symptoms and more on reframing the entire way that we interact with the life within us and surrounding us.
I strongly believe that we all have exactly what we need to heal but that finding the part of ourself that is authentic is often a tricky game of navigation through years of past conditioning. I can work with you to find your freedom and authentic self through a look at the thought processes, feelings and behaviors that, while familiar, limit your growth.
