I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Ohio State University . I have experience in treating trauma, PTSD, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, addiction, life adjustment issues, and family/relationship issues. My therapeutic approach is personalized and collaborative, and I am also a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner and End of Life / Bereavement Specialist. I utilize a variety of strategies to address each unique situation, and I aim to create a sense of strength, comfort, and support for my clients.
My approach is client-centered in efforts to offer empathy to build client and counselor relationship. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in efforts to reprocess negative belief systems that are shaped during traumatic experiences. Also, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I am a goal oriented therapist that gather’s clinical knowledge from each client’s history to tailor a treatment plan. I like to build a strong relationship with my client's and use varied techniques that I have gathered in my 30 years of providing psychotherapy. My approach as the therapist is to help guide the client in their therapeutic journey!
