I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist from Puerto Rico with special interest in mind/body medicine and wellness. I am bilingual in Spanish and English. I have provided psychotherapy for more than 20 years in multiple clinical settings and have worked with a diverse group of clients in individual, couples, and group counseling. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my clinical practices.
I am deeply committed to pursuing personal growth, authenticity, and living a life of purpose. I believe that psychotherapy is sacred in nature, and I acknowledge and respect the benefits of spirituality as a transformative and awakening energy providing relief and hope toward life's suffering and challenges.
I have a special interest in the new field of Nutritional Psychology, a new area of psychology that explores the interconnection between dietary intake and all aspects of psychological functioning (mood/behavior/mental health). This influences my clinical practice and reinforces my belief that adequate nutrition is essential for mental health.
