I have specialized training and experience working with people that are facing the challenges of trying to conceive, pregnancy/postpartum, unexpected birth experiences, parenting small children, and loss. In addition to this speciality, I have focused my work in supporting children and adults around themes of trauma, attachment challenges, mood issues (depression/anxiety), identity exploration, self-esteem, relationships, body image, parenting, spirituality, and grief/loss.
I view my work through a psychodynamic, attachment-focused, internal family systems lens - meaning that I see our time together to be both about what's happening right now and the multiplicity of past experiences that have led you here. We will give a voice to the symptoms that brought you and help you begin to name and explore the deeper "why do I do this?"
My style is often described as warm, genuine, and playful. I work hard to build trust with my clients - we collaborate together to create a therapeutic environment that is a safe place to authentically bring ourselves to the work.
