About
Hi! My name is Alexsey Goodman. I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern and Independent Contract Clinician at Genesis Counseling in Boca Raton, FL. I obtained my Master of Science Degree in Social Work at Columbia University. I have multiple years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings, such as non-profit organizations, schools and outpatient clinics. I have worked with children of all ages, who have a multitude of diagnoses including, Depression, ADHD, Parent/Child Relational Problems, Anxiety, Mood, Adjustment, Sexuality and Eating Disorders, and those on the Autism Spectrum.
I am extremely passionate about making a positive impact and helping a child grow to their fullest potential. I understand the importance of creating a therapeutic alliance and I work to create a space for each client to feel safe and comfortable. My goal is to help children learn how to manage and cope with their unsettling thoughts, feelings and emotions.
I incorporate a variety of therapeutic methods that are individualized to the needs of each client. I understand therapy is a process. Every child's needs are different; what works for some, may not work for others. I am dedicated to finding the best intervention and treatment for each of my clients. Together, we can work to achieve your therapy goals!
