Hello! My name is Alexis Resendez and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Aronsen Counseling Services. I have a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I have thorough experience working with voluntary clients, as well as clients who have been mandated by the Department of Child and Family Services. I have worked with adults, children, and adolescents addressing a diverse range of issues such as domestic violence, bereavement, depression, relationship dissatisfaction, job stress, and eating disorders, among others.

When working with a client, I place an emphasis on establishing a client-therapist relationship that is rooted in respect, authenticity, and warmth.
I work from an integrated approach, meaning the way that I conceptualize issues may vary to create a treatment plan most suitable to the issues being presented. At the foundation, my work with clients is primarily rooted in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy models.
