With 30 years experience as a psychologist in Pennsylvania and Florida, I can help others with many issues, needs, or goals. I help persons sort out thoughts, feelings, decisions, and challenges and promote individual resilience in experiences, strengths, and areas of concern, including improving skills in relationships with others. I received my Ph.D. in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and then completed my required internship at a psychiatric hospital. I worked as an educator & consultant at USF, as an Allied Medical Staff member 8 years at local hospitals & with Veterans at the V.A.M.C.
Serving many diverse populations has given me a unique background and compassion in rebuilding lives from anxious, depressed, disenfranchised, or traumatic states. I have experience and training with trauma victims and Veterans with PTSD, and interest in helping others through using my Sport Sciences education and my athletic and coaching experiences.
I start care in a client-centered way by listening to individual's unique experiences & then theoretically integrate multiple approaches that could best fit stated needs and goals. Cognitive-behavioral therapy was emphasized in my training and incorporated into treatment I look forward to helping persons achieve the best possible outcomes for their lives.
