My work as a therapist focuses on helping adolescent and adult clients coping with life changes and difficult circumstances leading the individual to a variety of protective yet self-defeating responses. I am experienced in treating substance abuse, eating disorders and other compulsive behaviors, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I take a hands-on, eclectic and team approach with the individual and their unique support systems towards attaining their goals of treatment; as well as to restore mental health and wellness, and balance in their lives and relationships.
I have experience providing psychotherapy services in both psychiatric and medical settings. I am experienced in working with all ages and diagnoses, and various medical comorbidities. I have specialized training and experience in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.
Psychotherapy is a unique and often difficult journey towards growth and change. I am an empathic, well-attuned therapist, tending to the different experiences, makeup, and needs of each individual. As appropriate, I offer family and couples consultations, group therapy, as well as referrals to/collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
