I approach therapy from a person-centered, EFT and CBT viewpoint. In my approach I encourage client insight and growth through validation and directness to achieve their identified goals. Every person and their story is different, and my approach may shift depending on your needs as a client. If you are continuing to struggle with processing loss and grief or have difficulty communicating your emotions, I hope to work with you in providing a warm and secure environment where you can begin to do so.
As an independently licensed counselor (LPC), I believe that having awareness into our own behaviors and emotions will greatly improve our satisfaction and stability in life. I have experience in community mental health addressing topics of grief, anxiety, boundary work, interpersonal relationships, and cultural complexities.
We'll start the first session as an introduction where we'll go over limits of confidentiality and counseling limits/expectations. During this session we will begin to get to know one another, and you'll begin to share what you hope to achieve through counseling. I look forward to meeting and work with you!
