Hi, I’m Alexis. I love working with children ages 3 and up, as well as with parents who may be feeling overwhelmed or unsure of what to do next. Before moving into private practice, I spent many years as an elementary school counselor, supporting kids and families through everyday challenges and big emotions. I work with clients to better understand their feelings and express them in healthy, constructive ways, making everyday life feel more manageable. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you and your child feel understood and cared for. Beneath it all, each of us is simply hoping to be seen, heard, and valued.
I have experience helping with life transitions, behavioral concerns, anxiety, family struggles, and building self-esteem. Emotions can feel big/messy—for both kids and parents—and at times, it can feel like a lot to carry on your own. I utilize child-centered play therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, but most importantly cater my approach to the client.
I strive to build genuine, trusting relationships where clients feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can show up authentically—without pressure or expectation. Emotions can feel big and overwhelming for both children and parents, and you don’t have to navigate them alone.
